I’m back and just in time for Christmas!

With my gluten-free Christmas menu – just for you.

Well hello there! I’ve been away for such a long time, I bet you thought I’d forgotten all about you. In fact, I have been very much aware of the fact I was neglecting you, but it’s been a tough few years.

I lost my father to cancer last year after a difficult five year battle with lung cancer. He was one of the unlucky ones who got lung cancer despite never having smoked in his life.

On top of that, we lost my brother-in-law suddenly to heart disease. And that was one loss we were not expecting!

As you can imagine, losing two close family members within a couple of weeks of each other was just a bit too much to take. So I retreated into my castle, pulled up the drawbridge, and let the alligators loose. Which is to say, I pulled back from a lot of stuff I was doing and concentrated on myself and my immediate family for a while.

But now I’m back, and raring to go! I’ve got a few ideas in the pipeline so watch this space for announcements as I get things up and running.

In the meantime, I’m preparing for Christmas. We didn’t have much of a Christmas last year, and I normally love this time of year. So this year, I’m making up for it. As a coeliac, I used to find eating out at friends or relatives something of a challenge. But everyone has been so good at learning to cope with my needs that I rarely feel like I’m missing out now. But I do make sure I provide as much gluten-free food as I can so people aren’t too put out having to cater for me.

Just to show you how easy it is to cater gluten-free at Christmas time, here is my menu for a Very Merry Gluten-Free Christmas:
